Hey everyone. I want to start off by thanking everyone for their support in my fight with Jorge Gurgel. That was an awesome fight. Unfortunately, in battles like that, its likely to get some wounds. Due to the extreme amount of low kicks taken in the fight, Jorge tore my meniscus in my knee. So tomorrow I will be undergoing arthroscopic surgery on that knee. Thanks to everyone for their support, and get well wishes. Those go a long way. Ill be out of commission for about 4 weeks before I will be able to get back to training. I'm looking to fight again by the end of this year or the beginning of 2009. Thanks again to all my fans, friends, and family.

Tonight, myself and my brother, Micah (wec fighter), were promoted by our instructor, Ricardo Liborio, to our new belt levels in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Micah received his purple belt, and I received my brown. I want to thank everyone for supporting me and all the people who have helped me get to where I am,my training partners, and especially Ricardo Liborio, Marcos "Parrumpinha" De Matta, and Charles McCarthy.
