Micah Miller wins in atlanta

Cole, Micah, and UFC star Clay Guida

My brother Micah Miller won last night in atlanta, by knockout , against a very game Josh Pulcifer. Micah showed an extremely well rounded game, especially in the standup area. After asking pulcifer to stand up several times micah finally finished with the ko due to an uppercut in the 3rd round.
Other noted highlight was dropping his opponent with a left hook to the body.

ps sorry i havent updated the site in a while. ill try and catch up if i can.

Sum it up in One Word: BETTER.

By: Samantha L. Johnson

The war of words that has been waged between Cole Miller and Junie Browning will come to a head Wednesday at Ultimate Fight Night 18. The two meet on the main card where words will be left outside the cage and the only thing either one of them will have to defend themselves is their skills and experience.

“He wants to convince himself [that he’s better than me]. His jiu-jitsu’s pretty good, but it’s nothing to really worry about,” Junie told CagePotato.com, bold words for someone with a lower ranking belt and a lot less experience. 3-1 in the UFC, Cole has over 15 professional fights and trains with one of the top teams in the world. “Magrino” is using the feud to fuel his motivation; training twice a day with top-ranked guys; he feels more than ready to take on the kid with “bad tattoos, bad hair, bad everything.”

IHP Pre Fight Preparation

Cole lick UG lead copy.jpg

As most of you know, the team i belong to is American Top Team. It's where I do all of my mixed martial arts training. There i do boxing, muay thai, wrestling, Brazilian jiu jitsu, the pro team sparring, but theres another huge part to pre fight preparation. That part is strength and conditioning. For this fight I did my strength and conditioning at IHP (institute of human performance) with its found Juan Carlos Santana. He was a huge help to me in making me bigger and stronger, while maintaining my conditioning. At IHP we do alot of plyometric lifting, strength and cardio circuit training, and strength lifting. All of the training I did there was functional training, training that is full body , mixed martial arts preparation. However they do offer a wide array of programs and training options. check them out at ihpfit.com or ihpcombat.com.
